Reader Brian Stone took this video of a Grey Wagtail, viciously attacking his car – see Brian's blog. The shameless vandalism took place today (29.11.07) at Newborough Fen, near Peterborough. The bird clearly had a problem with its own reflection.

I had a couple of Grey Wags last summer that kept coming to my car. The male was obsessed with the wing mirrors, although it seemed to be just curiosity, as he never actually attacked. The female took a more pragmatic line, and simply ran over the roof, windscreen and bonnet picking off dead insects.
